![]() October 15, 2007 Quickoffice Appoints Alan Masarek as CEO to Deliver Expanded Vision of Mobile Office Quickoffice, Inc., the leading global provider of mobile office productivity software and services, today announced the appointment of co-founder Alan Masarek to chief executive officer. Masarek will be responsible for leading Quickoffice's expanded vision of a mobile office. Quickoffice, already the world leader in providing mobile office document software for smartphones, is expanding its vision to deliver the next generation of mobile office solutions. Through the company's upcoming introduction of server-based solutions, on-the-go professionals will be able to access content from their mobile phones wherever that content exists, across a range of formats. Users will be able to remotely access data residing on their personal computer, as well as content that is embedded in mobile email attachments or stored locally on their mobile devices. With ubiquitous access to one's content and superior viewing and editing technology, Quickoffice users will be able to view, edit, print, fax, share and send content from their mobile devices. "Alan was an ideal choice, as he has years of management and mobile software experience both within Quickoffice and in the industry," said Janice Roberts, managing partner, Mayfield Fund. "As CEO, his vision and proven track record of providing guidance to senior level executives and his unwavering dedication will be invaluable to our management team." Masarek received his bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Georgia and his MBA from Harvard Business School.
